Another Nigerian senator is dead

Senator Mustafa Bukar is dead. He died on Wednesday morning after a brief illness. Until his death he represented Katsina North Senatorial District (Daura Zone) in the Senate. Nigeria’s President, Muhammad Buhari hails from Daura. Bukar, born in 1954, is the third federal legislator to die in 2018 The NASS had lost member representing Bauchi central Senatorial District, Senator Ali Wakili, on March 17, and member representing Lokoja/Kogi/Koton Karfe, Umar Buba Jibril last week. Last among the bills Bukar sponsored are the bill for the establishment of Federal Polytechnic Daura, and Nigerian Building Institute Bill He recently sponsored the empowerment training of 400 unemployed youths in his senatorial district.
